Does it feel like there are as many employed in NYC as there have ever been? According to the NYS Labor Department, the high water mark was set in July 2013 with 3,725,800 employed. The next highest month would be July 2008 when there were 3,724,500 employed. So the recovery is complete in one sense, yet unemployment is significantly higher than it was before the recession.
