New article in the Washington Post reports on a new Census Bureau report which indicates that 2015 was the best year for median household income growth. The increase of 5.2% was the best ever recorded going back to at least the 1960s, and was accompanied by declines in unemployment and poverty. The report also mentions that the gains were strictly in urban areas and that rural areas did not benefit.
